In the Depths of the Sea

Micah 7:19

19He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

This, my friends, is a wonderful thought. God does not hold our past sins against us. Through our faith in Him he removes our transgressions from us 'as far as the east is from the west.' The Bible also says that once God has forgiven us he totally forgets our past sins--He removes them from His memory. It is as if we never rebelled against Him at all.

Prayer: "O God, thank-you for not only forgiving us but removing our sins from us and casting them in the depths of the sea. And we also praise You for your glorious forgiveness and for remembering our sins no more. We are most humbled by such love. In Christ's name, Amen."

Song--This is one my all-time favorite songs by the late Glen Payne of The Cathedral Quartet. This song never got the recognition that other Cathedral songs received, but it is such a wonderful expression of the words in our scripture verse above. And as usual, Glen hits it out of the ballpark. So does the quartet.

You can always tell when Glen gets excited by a song because he jumps. I still miss him. Watch as Glen and the Cathedrals sing 'In the Depths of the Sea.'

This one is a special blessing. I can't watch it without tearing up.
