Angels Among Us

'For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.' -- Psalm 91:11

In the late 1970s Evangelist Billy Graham wrote a best-seller entitled, 'Angels--God's Secret Agents.' In the book Dr. Graham lays out perhaps the most comprehensive study on the subject of angels ever written.

Angels serve a specific function in the spiritual world. One of those is to guard God's people as sort of the divine secret service. Have you ever had a near-miss in which you could have been killed but survived? Maybe an angel was here.

An angel was at the tomb of Jesus after the Resurrection. Angels ministered to Jesus when he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness. Has a stranger ever provided guidance, shelter, or help in a moment of need, but afterward you could not even find them, or know for sure they really existed? That may have been an angel, my friend. Thank God!

Prayer: "O God thank you for the countless times we have avoided injury or demise because you sent your angels to watch over us. We are thankful for the many ways you provide protection for your people. We are grateful for all of your rich blessings. In Christ's name we pray, Amen."
